Working together to prevent bee mortality

“Living and working in and together with nature” has always been our motto at Saliter. We owe a large part of the marvellous diversity of plants in our Allgäu homeland to those very small creatures: Bees not only give us honey to put on our bread, but also make a valuable contribution to agriculture and a healthy ecosystem by pollinating crops and wild plants. 

However, the number of bee colonies is declining rapidly worldwide. In order to counteract bee mortality and make a lasting contribution towards rebuilding the population, the Allgäu Beekeeping Shop has come up with a very special concept – the Allgäu Bee Rental: renting bees. Saliter is there at the launch, of course! We’re sponsoring three bee colonies for three years. By giving the bees a place to live, we are helping to boost the bee population in our beautiful Allgäu region and thus investing in the green future of our nature.
