We attach the highest importance to protecting your personal data such as name, address, telephone number or email. Because of that, we strictly comply with the legislation on data protection and data security in all our web activities. The following tells you the circumstances in which information is stored and how we use it:

Legal basis for the processing of personal data
Where we obtain the consent of data subjects for the processing of personal data, Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR provides the legal basis.
Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR provides the legal basis for the processing of personal data that is necessary to fulfil a contract to which the data subject is party. This also applies for processing that is necessary for measures implemented prior to entering into a contract.
Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR provides the legal basis where processing is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of our company or a third party, and where such interests are not outweighed by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.

Access data without reference to persons
We collect and store certain access data which is not linked to specific persons. We do this in order to improve the service we offer on our website. Access data are normally collected and stored as soon as a file is requested from our website.
Amongst other elements, this data record consists of:

  • the page from which our website or the file was requested,
  • the name of the file and length of time during which the website was visited,
  • the date and time of the request,
  • the volume of data transmitted,
  • the access status (i.e., whether the file was transmitted or possibly not found, etc.),
  • the number of visits,
  • a description of the type and version of the web browser used,
  • the installed operating system and the resolution set.

These data are evaluated for internal statistical purposes and for the technical administration of the website; neither such data nor parts of such data are passed on to third parties. These anonymous data are stored separately from sets of personal data and in no circumstances are they linked to your personal data; this means that no conclusions can be drawn about a specific person.

Personal data
Personal data are only collected by us if they are notified to us voluntarily. In the context of registration, enquiry, product complaints, surveys or similar, the following personal data in particular are collected: form of address, name, address, e-mail address, telephone number.

The following personal data are collected when a subscription is made for our newsletter: your name and your e-mail address.

The personal data communicated by you (form of address, name, address, e-mail address, telephone number) are stored in accordance with laws and legal regulations. Your data are, of course, treated confidentially and are not sold to third parties or marketed in any other way.

Use of personal data
Unless you provide your specific consent your personal data are only used to answer your enquiry and to process orders, etc. However, your address data are passed on to our package service providers for the purpose of delivering goods. These service providers are required to treat your data confidentially and only to use them for the purpose of making deliveries. Your payment data are passed on to the assigned bank for the purpose of processing payments. Personal data are not passed on to third parties for any other purpose. Nonetheless, we are authorized to provide information in specific instances to the responsible public authorities if such authorities request your data for the purpose of exercising their legal authority (e.g., pursuing criminal investigations).

We do not use any data which have been collected for advertising, marketing, or opinion research purposes without your consent.

Your rights
Subject to certain statutory exceptions, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold and process regarding you.
Further, you have the right to request us to rectify any personal data on you that might be incorrect, as well as the right to request us to restrict the processing of your personal data.

You may request to receive any personal data on you that you provided to us a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, if our processing of such personal data is based on your consent or a contract that you concluded with us (data portability).
Upon your request we will erase personal data on you, unless we have a legal basis for continuing the processing.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, such as the German Protection Agency.
