As part of the Ehrmann Group, we place great importance on sustainability. As a medium-sized company, sustainable business practices have been a matter of course for Ehrmann for generations, ensuring the company’s future success.

What does GMO-free mean?

GMO-free

We do not use genetically modified organisms (GMOs) or parts thereof, nor do we use vitamins, enzymes, or other food additives produced using genetically modified microorganisms.
Our farmers are committed to not feeding their animals feed that is genetically modified or produced using GMOs.

We voluntarily label our products with the “No GMO” seal, awarded by the Association for Food Without Genetic Engineering (VLOG). This way, you can be sure that our milk contains only the best natural ingredients.

The EU organic label

Our organic products also carry the EU organic label. Awarded by the European Union, this label aims to promote organic farming. Each of our products bearing the EU organic label meets the following criteria:

We do not use synthetic chemical pesticides or fertilizers.
We ensure that our animals are kept in a natural and species-appropriate manner. Each small farm therefore cares for a maximum of 30 animals. These animals are fed organic feed. The use of preventative antibiotics is prohibited.
We do not use genetically modified or GMO-produced feed or food additives.
Only 53 additives are permitted in production (conventional products in the EU: 316).

To reliably guarantee the quality of our dairy products, we have our products and the manufacturing process regularly inspected. So you can enjoy with a clear conscience at any time!

Bioland

Our products proudly bear the Bioland seal: Bioland is the most important association for ecologically, economically, and socially responsible agriculture in Germany. Its goal is to promote and implement sustainable and resource-efficient agriculture, free from the price pressure of the agricultural industry.
The advantages are clear: In addition to high-quality food and a healthy environmental footprint, the production of Bioland products also makes an important contribution to strengthening a regional, independent farming community.
Species-appropriate husbandry and diverse cultivated landscapes instead of species decline and the elimination of monocultures – this is what Bioland has been committed to for over 40 years. The seven Bioland principles are important cornerstones for the agriculture of the future.
